• Water protection zone

The coastal strip intended to protect the water body from pollution, economic activity is strictly limited.

A water protection zone is an area adjacent to the shore of a sea, river, stream, canal, lake or reservoir, on which a special regime for the conduct of economic and other activities is established in order to prevent pollution, clogging, siltation of a water body and depletion of its waters, as well as to preserve the habitat of aquatic biological resources and other objects of animal and plant life. Within the boundaries of water protection zones, coastal protection zones are established, within which additional restrictions on economic and other activities are introduced.
